Welcome to The 言语病理学系
The 言语病理学系 offers two programs of study, undergraduate and graduate. The undergraduate curriculum provides students a thorough pre-professional foundation in theoretical and practical knowledge of human communication and disorders. 学生 who successfully complete the program are awarded the Bachelor of Science degree and are prepared for graduate study in 语言语音病理学 or audiology and for a limited number of career opportunities in 语言语音病理学 or audiology.
A Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology is the entry-level degree needed to practice clinically as a 演讲-语言 pathologist. 因此, the Master’s program curriculum provides students with necessary knowledge and skills for successful professional clinical practice. It adheres to the Council on Academic 认证’s (CAA) standards which outline a comprehensive list of knowledge and skills necessary for successful clinical practice. The knowledge and skills assessment (KASA) is the guideline used in academic and clinical experiences for Master’s students enrolled in the program. The Department’s standards for graduate student performance are in keeping with 大学 of Arts and Sciences standards for graduate education and in some cases exceed those expectations.
